From any personal point of view 2020 has been an awful year, but from an academic point of view… the abundance of research material is just phenomenal and the year isn't even over!!

me: I need to write some smut.
Also me: Then you should really go read some. Ya know, for 'research'.
First me: That's a really good idea, you're fucking brilliant.
Also me: Yeah, but you know you're gonna choke when you have to write it, right?
First me: You suck.

Hekate is a goddess depicted with three heads to look all directions at the crossroads. She is not a triple goddess.
Can I just say it warms my fucking heart when I see someone on this trash fire of a site use actual peer reviewed research in an argument :") there's hope guys!

Do fucking research when you make characters it's not that hard.
Hi! First of all, I don't know why it took me forever before following you and sending you this, but anyway! I just want to say that I read your story "Receiver of Many" back in the days where it was still on AO3, and man, you are my hero. I don't even want to imagine the crazy amount of research you must have put into your story. It actually discouraged me from writing Greek mythology-based stories, but hey, might as well start researching myself, haha! I know you're going to make a series
@cosette-giry(message cut because of length) based on Hades and Persephone, so... you probably can't tell me, but is one of them going to take place in modern day? I don't know, I thought it might be interesting.
Well, first off, thank you :)
And yeah, it was a crazy amount of research. But don’t get intimidated or discouraged from writing! Most of mine was done on the fly... to the tune of ‘what instruments did they play in 1500 BCE? What crops were established and what were still new? Does X have any relation to Y or did they meet at any point? Who boinked who when?
So while a lot of research got folded into Receiver of Many and Destroyer of Light, it was more slap dash and on-the-go, and I definitely added to my repertoire of books and resources as time went along.
As for the modern day... I think I’m going to end the story sometime around the fall of antiquity in the mid-400s AD. I have a couple short story ideas for the modern era besides the one I already published here, but they’re one shots at best.
