Sonic’s eyes shine as they remain wide, staring at the black hedgehog in awe for a moment or two -- before he practically pounces on him, arms coming around Shadow with delight making his body shake.
“You’re so awesome!”
And as if to show how awesome Shadow really was, the blue hedgehog quickly, without thinking, plants a peck on his lips, chest swelling.
“Thank you so much! Thank you!"
Honestly, Sonic thinks there’s no way he’ll be able to thank him enough. Just spilling back into his life and rescuing him, over and over, giving him another chance. That’s more than anyone else has done.
