Tonight I stepped out of my culinary comfort zone and tried something I'd never done before. I grilled Salmon fillets on cedar planks. First I basted the salmon on both sides with olive oil. Then I seasoned with a little freshly ground salt and pepper. From there, I grilled the flesh side for about a a little over a minute to get a nice sear mark. After that formed, I placed the salmon on a cedar plank that had a bed of thyme, tarragon, rosemary, and Oregano leaves/twigs on them. I also placed a few lemon slices on top for an added pop and finished them on the grill for about 6-8 minutes. I made portions for my brother, cousin, dad, and bestie and myself. They all raved about how it was the best salmon they've ever had. And they didn't just say it to kiss ass. I must say it was really damn good and I'm proud of how it turned out. It was definitely restaurant ready #girlswhocook #grilledsalmon #girlslikeus #somethingnew #cheflife #lovecooking #restaurantready #transchef #mtftrans
