Whumpee so paranoid and delirious after rescue that they think their doctors are going to try to kill them. It doesn't make them fight back just terrified about everything that goes on. The caretaker has to try and convince them they are safe.
In an act of mercy, caretaker takes in an enemy who's badly hurt, keeping them in a hidden room secret from the rest of the team. Whumpee is aggressive, not understanding that caretaker is trying to help them, and caretaker is forced to strap them down to provide medical care and sedate them to keep them from struggling and hurting themselves more. Afterwards, in recovery, whumpee slowly starts to trust them, desperate for their unfamiliar gentle touch, as the daily sedative doses get smaller.
Oh I adore this idea <<
•The whumpee has hurt the caretaker in multiple occasions, something that th caretaker has to hide in order to keep the whumpee idden. They don’t mind the injuries since they know why they’re there.
•The caretaker waits until the whumpee trusts them in order to reveal them to the rest of the team- the team isn’t sure about the whumpee but the caretaker is a very respected and loved member.
•The whumpee still feels like they have to hurt the team- but by then the conditioning is fighting the attachment they have on the team that seems to care more about them than their old one.
