Hello, my name is Teagan. I've always been afraid to ask for help with situations that are nothing but my own but i'm in great need. I'm a 21 y/o who works a full-time job to scrape by and help support myself and my family with bills and a new-born.A week ago this little guy fell into my lap, with...
Hey guys, I absolutely hate to do this, but I really have no other idea what to do….
I’ve taken in a cat during a time which could not have been worse. I had just bought a car, and my father has an unexpected surgery that is going to already cost us $1,500 for his kidneys…
I hate to ask for money but as I just drained my savings for a car that I needed to make sure I got to work (I do not have a bus route that stops near my workplace, and my car is also a vehicle for my mother in case of medical emergencies). Please, please please please, if you could even share this for Cypher I would be so grateful i’m in actual tears posting this because I’m so heartbroken I might not be able to do anything….
Cypher is no older than 12 weeks and desperately needs his eye removed, while it causes him no visible pain it poses a risk of rupturing (as it almost did when I was taking him to the vet due to him pressing against the carrier’s gate). I’ve dealt with a vet already that had flat out told me that while he could do the surgery he told us to look elsewhere, and now i am absolutely begging you please at least give this a share.
Free simple coaster / dish cloth
-using spotlight's recycled cotton yarn - any 8ply cotton will work
-6mm hook, yarn needle for sewing in ends
-slip stitch, chain 1 at the end of each row.
-US terminology as many patterns I've read use it.
Row 1 Mc (chain 4 to make a ring also works), SC 7,
Row 2 SCInc 7,
Row 3 *SC, SCInc* 7
Row 4 *SC2, SCInc* 7
Row 5 CH2, *DC3, DCInc* 7
Row 6 *SC4, SCInc3* 7
Row 7 *SC6, SCInc* 7
-If making coasters tie off here
-If making dish cloth chain 14 then join back on same stitch to make a loop of hanging. Tie off and sew in ends.
Not much of a pattern just the "base" increase pattern to make a flat circle with a little added flare by having a row of DC. But it's a good starting point for anyone unsure where to start.
I've been using cotton crochet dish cloths for the last few weeks and I am in love. They hold more water, pickup more crumbs and wash clean a lot better than store bought plastic sponges. I am absolutely converted to these reusable cloths.

Some rescues can be much more difficult than we originally expected. In todays #WAFFlashback Simon and some of our volunteers were called to rescue a duck and two ducklings trapped on a roof garden. Whilst we have done many of these rescues before, one little duckling showed us that sometimes things can be a lot more difficult than we first thought! #WAFFlashback
Leg fox update! The young fox brought into us recently with a leg injury is still going strong! Her wounds are still being redressed every day, but they are closing quickly and it won't be long until she is good as new. Please keep all fingers crossed for her
