lush review - bubble bar
Magic of Christmas reusable bubble wand:
This reusable bubble bar has a warming clove bud spicy scent. It made an amazing amount of bubbles and left the water a strong orange colour with lots of glitter. This wand is different to the magic wand reusable bubble bar as it has a stick and this wand has a cinnamon stick instead which I think just adds to the overall scent and look of it.
The bath left my skin feeling soft and held the scent the whole time I was in the bath. It costs £5.95 which is pretty good value for money as you get multiple uses out of it. I would definitely buy this again if Lush bring it out again for christmas 💕
I got my first reusable bubble bar and I'm wondering what would be the best way to keep it dry between uses?
Pat it dry afterwards, and keep it in a dry area where moisture can’t get to it
Had a not quite ripe fruit bath cocktail. Used the The Mum reusable bubble bar, about 1/6th of a You’ve Been Mangoed bath melt, 1/3 of a Crackersnap bath bomb, and 1/4 of a Stepping Stone. It smelled like fresh fruit that was still a little green, a great way to start the day.
You can substitute The Mum with the Green bubbleroon (they have the same scent) and the Crackersnap with any of the other citrus bombs I would recommend Avobath if you want to keep the green motif.
Bubblebeard Bubble Bar
***Since the Holidays are over and the big sale is on I am going to post short concise reviews for the few products I have left.
This is another reusable bubble but it has a calming/relaxing scent with lavender and sandalwood. I really enjoyed the scent but still feel underwhelmed by the reusable bubble bars. I also found that the pieces fall off the stick more easily then the other reusable bubble bars I have used on the sticks.
Rocket Reusable Bubble Bar
What: A Stimulating bubble bath.
Review: The description lead me to believe that this was going to be on the sweeter side and since this was another reusable bubble bar the combination just didn't have me excited. However when I smelled it in the store it strangely smelled like Bathos, one of my most favorite (and sadly discontinued) bubble bars, so I decided to take the plunge. I would have to say that even though I do maintain my opinion that the quality of bubbles is not the same with the reusable bubble bars I did enjoy my Rocket bath. The scent actually became more gingery (there is ginger, clove bud and actually fire tree oil inside-so cool)when it was in the water, which I quite like, and the bath was a beautiful blue color. I did not detect much of the sweetness they describe, but I prefer it that way, I found the scent very earthy and a hint spicy. This could be fun for kids because it is reuable and it's rocket shape but the scent makes it great for adults as well. I just may buy another of these, not like 5 like I will for Christmas Eve but still another one, despite the fact that it is reusable (sorry I think I may have used that word a few to many times).
Extra bits: I used this when I was having a really bad stomach ache because I knew it had ginger in it which helps settle your stomach. The combination of the ingredients, just being in the bath and the soothing blue water was really helpful.
