Reverse dieting
Hey guys! I had a question. Has anyone ever tried reverse dieting (in order to increase maintenance calories after being in a deficit for a long time) before?
Experiences? Thoughts?

Diets and weight loss fads come and go regularly. Every day there’s something new trending on social media with pictures that ‘prove’ they work. Unfortunately, getting into the desired shape and size isn’t easy and most fad diets do more harm than good.
So I went for a walk in the morning, I decided to use the nike app to track my pace and distance. I also wore my polar watch to try to raise my heart rate up to 55-60% but I couldn’t. I walked as fast as I could and it barely made it to 49%. I don’t know if I want to walk that much and feel tired to just burn under 200 calories. So I think I’m going to change that. I’m going to go for a 45 min jog 3 times a week, I’m going to try to keep my heart rate at 70% max, usually when I run it is over 85%. I know my body burns fat more effectively with less intense cardio, the more I run the less weight I lose, idk why. So I’m going to take it easy. I’m also going to do hiit 3 times a week, with running intervals but only for 20 minutes, I’ll walk 20 min, hiit 20 and walk again 20. And I’m lifting weight 5 times a week.
Today I worked shoulders and triceps, and did 4 sets of planks. I’m going to work abs only once a week but I’ll do planks every day.
I also started reverse dieting at 1600 kcal (55C 20P 25F) that’s the distribution that worked pretty well last time I reverse dieted. I’ll increase 5% carbs and fat every week.
