God who would’ve have been terrified of the idea of a blood thirsty king. It made for sleepless nights where his mind wandered to the possibilities of what ifs and fears of what might happen if he did try and rise up against the King. Finally, after weeks of decision making he had decided to join with Ryan, rather than have his own blood spilt. Rising when the other told him to, he had a grim expression on his face. There was a difference between rumors and actually facing the object of those rumors. “I will provide what assistance I can, my King.”
Ryan is no monster, despite the rumors. He's either a monster or unfit for the throne, depending on if you ask out or in of the kingdom- when you see things mortal men aren't meant to, you do not come out clean, and Ryan is no exception. His distant look focuses on the grim knight, and he runs fingers down his cheek. "Do you swear out of fear, Joel? Or out of love for your king?"
