          show her the ropes.  that’s what negan had said as he introduced her to this man.  simon she believes his name is.  it’s a strange working that they have here, lots of people, insane amounts of food and supplies.  far different from the prison.  she supposed that rick was right.  he said she’d find new people and a new life, and if this worked out ?  it may end up being better than before.

she doesn’t join in on simon’s SPEECH, her face remains passive, almost as if she’s questioning everything that had just come out of his mouth.  and she’s never been one to keep her opinion to herself, especially since their leader was supposedly dead, or alive somewhere.  why hadn’t they looked harder?  it was odd.  it all didn’t quite add up properly.  “if he’s alive, he’ll kill you for not looking harder.”  she says it straight to his face.

NO PROTEST AS HE’S ushered into the vehicle, and as he sits in the passenger seat next to Simon, he realises how well trained they have him. He hasn’t even bothered to ask where they’re going ---- knowing he wouldn’t have a choice either way, and that just speaking is enough to piss someone off. So he sits in silence, even when Simon turns to him with his stupidly annoying grin and starts the car

She’s defensive, guard is up with everyone around her. Someone fucked them over and while she has her suspicions -- Dwight -- she knew better than to trust anyone. Small town bullshit had taught her well when it came to offering up trust and she was going to make sure that it served her well in the crumbling world around her, especially with Negan missing in action. She wasn’t going to let Simon just give up on Negan just like that. 

“So let me get this straight,” her words level, hiding her worry, but that sparkle in her eyes was the singular tell of the storm that raged within her. Oh, she would never let Simon see her break down. Reputations had to stay in place. “You haven’t found a body, living or dead. Meaning he’s still out there. While Rick and his gaggle of idiots are holding up pitchforks and callin’ for his head on a stick. Have you sent anyone out to find him?”

“—Shitty people?” Brows furrowing, Simon shifted and leaned forwards. “No. If we were shitty people, do you really think We’d have as many people as we do? Do you think people would WILLINGLY work for us if we were horrible? We’re Saviors. We save. Nothing shitty about that, right?”

"I’ve heard the line before, Simon.” Grace replied, exasperated. She reached down between them to pick up the amber bottle, filled with liquid of an unclear nature, except that it burned going down and if you had enough it would make you drunk.

“I’m just thinking-” She tipped her head to knock back a sip and grimaced as the acrid stuff slipped down her throat. “How many lives do you think you saved throwing grenades at Alexandria?”
