”Get out.”

Sothis didn’t look at him as she cradled her wrist to her chest. She was fighting back tears from pain, with dark, blossoming bruises on her forearm, from how it had been broken moments ago.

Nemesis was no stranger to rages, and right now was no exception. Except his anger had diminished slightly for a second upon seeing the damage he caused. The broken vases, a punctured column, mirror fragments littered the ground. None of that mattered to him, how destructive he can get, but he saw he hurt Sothis.

“Get out.”

The goddess repeatedly but her voice was shaky this time as she saw him make a step towards her. She flinched as if to brace herself but nothing happened. Sothis only looked towards him to see the warriors retreating back. She heard him making a mess as he left.

It’s only then she started to cry, a few tears at first before it morphed into a full sob. What she didn’t know was that her eldest was around the corner, with a look of anger on her own face.

This wasn’t the first time Seiros had seen her mother cry. Enough was enough! Seiros burst into the room with a huff. “You can’t let him keep coming back here, mother!” This wasn’t the first time she’d been given the same response either. “It’s okay,” So mumbled weakly.

“It’s not okay! He’s nothing more than a brute!” It’s then the eldest Nabatean noticed how her mother babied her wrist. And she exploded. Seiros turned right on her heel to chase after Nemesis before he left Zanado, intending to make him pay for what Sothis couldn’t do.
