spoilers for still in love's career.
something i want to say is that i dont see nearly enough fanart about the dizzying descent into madness that the trainer experiences. there's a lot out there depicting the allure of still and 'her'. but not many of the effects she has on her trainer. their obsession leads them to ruin. their eyes turn red. they neglect caring for themself, and go weeks without eating. meanwhile, as much as they don't mean to, they start forcing still to train harder, even harder, just so they can see that run, even just once more. it feeds further into itself when still convinces herself that she ruined them, and lets herself become fully engulfed in her 'instincts'. the trainer physically becomes a husk of their former self. and even though their core personality, who cares for their trainee, surfaces once in a while to stop it from becoming worse, they get dragged down again. further. deeper. into the red. they want to see her run. they need to see her run. everything doesn't matter as long as they get to see her run. faster. stronger. into the red.
surely people realise that this is prime material for some horrific art, right? i really want to see more of that.
