I heard mermaids lurk in the pond behind the mansion. is this true???
If I'm honest this question is better suited for our aquatic enthusiast Hosty and his harem of squid.
There are many strange beasties beneath that murky water, too many to count. Unless you are deceased like us, swimming in their would be an awful idea. Most things that live in there would drag you below the surface and to your death. They may not mean to kill you, it may just be that they want to take you to their underwater cave for a teaparty.
While the mermaids have been known to visit our lakes and socialize with us, they tend to linger mostly around the pirates over at POTC since they are easier to bribe and blackmail into giving them trinkets and jewels due to being drunk on rum all the time. Once they grow tired of the antics of the salty seadogs, they use a bit of Disney magic to transform their scaly fins into fleshy legs and walk across the park to us for a dip in the lake with the giant squids.
So that's my answer. Officially we don't have mermaids since they live around the POTC ride but at least one of the mermaids are usually visiting so chances are you will see one of those limb lacking ladies while on our estate
