Tips For Your Autumn Tables from Christy Rost!
“Make your home a place of beauty and welcome, starting at the street. Trees flush with early-spring blossoms, a leafy canopy in the summer, vibrant colors in the fall, and stately branches in the winter, provide interest and a sense of welcome all year long. Garden beds anchored with a variety of shrubbery, accented with seasonal color, evoke pleasure each time you and your guests arrive."
“I adore setting autumn-inspired tables for memorable gatherings. Translating nature’s seasonal palette of deep russet, vivd gold, intense orange, and rich brown into a dreamy table setting my guests will love gives me particular pleasure when these hues take on a new richness in the flicker of candlelight. And when the colors are blended with textual elements of sparkle, the effect is dramatic and enchanting.”
"The autumn table pictured here was inspired by a copper and antique-gold remnant of fabric I purchased on sale in Dallas, and a set of elegant Czechoslovakian floral salad plates trimmed in gold I found in a Denver antique store.
I folded and placed the heavy fabric down the center of the table to provide a textual foundation for the setting, and arranged a garland of silk autumn leaves over the fabric, accented with vases of fresh, autumn chrysanthemums and tiny pumpkins."
