This is @dire-vulture's dragon Pitohui, which once-upon-a-time, I sold her over to them! She was my first art sale dragon, and I still perish at the sight of my ancient art </3....But! I think I've redeemed myself here! And I still love her and all her stupid glittery spikes

Comments: This is more a case of me wanting a specific combination of genetics, and noticing she could be a particular fandragon, than wanting a particular fandragon and going looking for something to fill that role. In this case I was mostly just looking for a gold or metals filigree dragon to mate with my Loki fandragon, who has a goldenrod circuit tert. Finding that in XXY of obsidian was dead easy, and gives the resultant offspring an interesting colour-blacks-goldtones colour scheme. And then when trying to think up a name for her, I found myself remembering some of the posters I’d seen for Black Panther and having an “oh, hey!” moment.

I could also eventually breed her to my TChalla fandragon, who is XXX of obsidian, though I’d first want to change his tert from smirch to filigree.

Comments: Had a green harlequin dragon show up in a random Predict Morphology earlier today, and just loved how that gene & colour combined. Went looking for a dragon with it on AH, and found this very pretty ridgeback hatchling, whom I immediately purchased. Took considerably longer to find a mate for her that I was satisfied with.

Kaia is the name she came with.
