Story time!
So, I don’t know if everyone here knows this at this point but one of the first places that I started editing and posting my edits on was Twitter. Tumblr is not one of my longest running social medias. When I started posting my edits to Tumblr, it was just a side thing because a few people in a group chat with me also had Tumblrs and I had three past deleted Tumblrs already so I thought ‘why not add a fourth?” but then this happened.
I never expected to get far on this platform. I didn’t know how to share my work into the community properly at the start because I didn’t really know anyone in the community at that point. I followed a few blogs and, surprisingly enough, a few big blogs followed me back. That was a big calling point to me starting to post more actively on this account. I set up an appearance for the blog to look a bit nicer, had a schedule for posting, and was getting somewhere towards a following in the double-digits. It was amazing.
When I started on here, I had already been on Twitter actively for about two years and had a lot more of a following on there than on here. However, a few months in-- I gained more on here than I’d ever gotten on any social media before. For that, I’m grateful.
Anyways, this is basically just a long-winded reminiscence on my roots. I recently changed the username of my Twitter to match with my url here so that it’s easier for people who wish to share my work on there to find me if they want to @ back to the creator. I stopped being so active on Twitter when interest rose on here but it shows a lot more of the personal side of things I think?
If you want to check out the social media that started it all, you can find the link here or on my webpage blog under the banner. :)
