2. How’s their teamwork? Do they share well?

Despite what is said about elves and dwarves, Tauriel and Kili are an amazing team, great at playing to each other’s strengths. Where Kili is quick on the draw, Tauriel is precise. While Tauriel can survey an area in seconds, Kili can respond to direction at a moment’s notice. Their greatest weakness as a team is the fact that, on the battlefield, they can often be distracted by their need to watch after the other.

As for sharing, they can certainly do so well. Being soldiers, sharing supplies or space is no trouble at all. When it comes to tidbits about themselves or information about their individual cultures, Tauriel and Kili do not shy away from helping the other understand where they come from either. Though, their fellow dwarves and elves may not be quite as thrilled.

32. Do they ever get into trouble? Is it serious, or are they just mischievous?

Oh, definitely! They’re both considered young by their race’s standards, and, while Tauriel often puts up a stern front, she is ultimately just as playful as Kili is. The trouble they get into is never very serious. Though, some of the older, grouchy dwarves would say otherwise. It’s all in good fun! Most of the time, it’s just harmless pranks. Fili usually helps out as well. Their most infamous one can be summarized as follows: Negotiation meeting - NETgotiation meeting - Running away VERY VERY fast. One time, however, they hijacked a mine cart for a ride and almost set the whole mining project back two months. Safe to say that Kili got quite a scolding from his uncle for that one.

The umbrella, when it rains - Killian, because the tallest person holds the umbrella in life

The popcorn at the cinema - lmao I feel like it would be Killian, just because Emma pawns it off on him by telling him that he needs to have the full experience. Killian’s far too excited about being out on a date to argue.

The baby, when it cries - Equal amounts on each end. For Emma, who gave up Henry when he was a baby and never got to experience these things with him, being able to do so with her second child would be something that’s very important and special to her. Likewise, Killian has always wanted a family, and he’d be a very involved parent, just as much as Emma. Also, the hook is removed prior to any baby holding, of course.

The ice cream cone, when they share - Emma, because the one time that Killian held it, he speared his hook through the cone for an easier holding experience and promptly ruined the best part of the ice cream eating experience!

The remote, when they sit down to watch a movie - Emma. Last time she let Killian hold it, he spent most of the time pressing random buttons to figure out what they did.

The basket, when they go shopping - Emma is much more useful at the actual shopping aspect of shopping, so Killian is happy to be useful for the holding aspect.

The door, on dates - Whoever gets to the door first. I don’t think Killian’s really about that “a gentleman must always hold the door for the woman”, nor do I think Emma would be very responsive to that treatment.

The other’s hand, most often - It’s about equal, but at the beginning of their relationship, when holding hands and the likes becomes more common, Killian holds Emma’s hand constantly and looks like an excited puppy every time he does, because he can hold Emma Swan’s hand whenever he wants and she wants him to!!!

Their breath, upon seeing the other on their wedding day - Killian. I bet he’d cry too. I would cry - I’m crying now just thinking about it.

The camera, when they take pictures together - Killian. He prides himself on it being one of the many new technologies that he’s mastered.

Who’s more dominant: I wouldn’t say that either of them is more dominant than the other on a regular basis. Rather, there’s a balance and, depending on the situation, one of them may take control. But, at the end of the day, they’re equals.

Who’s the cuddler: Killian, because sometimes he just can’t wrap his head around the fact that Emma is his and finds that holding her reassures him that it’s not a dream.

Who’s the big spoon/little spoon: While at first confused by the concept of spooning, Killian eagerly accepted his post as the big spoon to Emma’s little spoon.

What’s their favorite non-sexual activity: Emma loves showing Killian all the Disney movies, especially Peter Pan, which Killian thinks is ridiculous — He doesn’t look like that at all!! They also enjoy a nice drink together at Granny’s and, though their apartment has a view of the seaside, they often walk along the piers together.

Who uses all the hot water: Killian thinks showers are the greatest thing but has yet to grasp the concept that there is a limited amount of hot water. Thus, Emma takes to getting up super early to get into the shower before him.

Most trivial thing they fight over: Where Killian moves Emma’s stuff when he’s cleaning, Killian’s persistence that he does not need a wardrobe change, where and when Emma’s magic is appropriate (for example, could she please stop poofing his hook random places because rude), and which Disney Princess is the best.

Who does most of the cleaning: Killian does, since Emma is more a sporadic cleaner and Killian is always prompt about it, having captained a ship for hundreds of years.

What has a season pass on their DVR/Who controls the Netflix queue: Henry. He has complete control over what they watch on TV, because Emma was never a big TV watcher and Killian has absolutely no idea how the technology works. One show they all agree on, though, is Sleepy Hollow.

Who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working:  Emma, because Killian doesn’t even know how the heating works in the first place.

Who leaves their stuff around: Emma. She’s an organized chaos type of gal, and it drives her mad when Killian moves her stuff around. She was gonna get to it eventually, goddamnit!

Who remembers to buy the milk: Emma, because she doesn’t trust Killian with navigating the groceries all by himself. Or with Henry, either, because she knows that Henry will talk Killian into buying him junk food that he does not need.

Who remembers anniversaries:  Both of them!

Who cooks normally: Emma usually cooks breakfast and they’ll often switch off for dinner. Except for Sunday nights, which is family dinner night where they go over to Emma’s parent’s apartment.

How often do they fight: They bicker now and again, but they rarely have full blown fights. They fought the most when they first moved in together and began reevaluating their boundaries to fit the new situation, but in a matter of weeks, they settled quite nicely.

What do they do when they’re away from each other: Work their hardest to get back to each other, obviously!

Nicknames for each other: They try a few new nicknames here and there, but nothing is ever able to break them from their ‘Swan’/’Hook’ calling habits.

Who is more likely to pay for dinner: It soon becomes clear to Killian that gold coins aren’t proper currency in Storybrooke, and so Emma pays most of the time, iIf they even have to pay. 

Who steals the covers at night: Emma does, but Killian doesn’t mind all that much.

What would they get each other for gifts: Emma, as it turns out, is horrible at giving gifts. When she does carry through with finding something, it usually has a practical use, and when in doubt, she just buys him books. Killian, on the other hand, searches high and low for the perfect one anytime the occasion prompts for one. He’ll remember vague wants she voiced and make sure that she receives them. She once off-handedly mentioned that she’d like to wear more earrings? Done! She looked at that jacket in the store window for a prolonged amount of time? Done!

Who kissed who first: Well, as we all know, Emma did. ;)

Who made the first move: While Killian made his feelings known first, he stepped back and allowed her to take their relationship however she pleased from there.

Who remembers things: They both do, but Killian tends to be better at it.

Who started the relationship: Emma, because Killian knew it was important for her to have control of the situation.

Who cusses more: To Killian’s surprise, Emma swears ten times more than he does. And, he’s the pirate!

Who is the dirty talker: They’re both so good at it that it becomes a point of contest between them. Who can make the other the most flustered? It’s great fun!

A head canon: While it may not be particularly new or exciting, one of my favorite headcanons is that Emma will eventually use her magic to reattached Killian’s hand, which has been spotted in Gold’s shop. The image of Killian finally cupping Emma’s face with both of his hands, tenderly and reverently, as Emma smiles at him — I am gone!
