“The summer before junior year Ricky Bowen learned several things about himself.

He learned the hard way that the girl he loved writing him a love song prompted an immediate panic response (real smooth, Bowen).

He learned that he wasn’t actually very good at talking to girls he didn’t have a lifetime of history with (note: girls don’t love when you can only seem to talk about said girl you loved).

He learned that playing video games with his best friend did get boring eventually when there literally wasn’t anything else to do, no matter how many different Smash Bros characters he mastered.

But then one afternoon late in the summer, Ricky Bowen learned suddenly and without warning that maybe all those other lessons didn’t matter quite as much.”

Gina's been out of High School for almost a year and for someone who travelled so much growing up, she would have thought she'd be less surprised when friendships start to fade.

But it really is Ricky walking through that door, even though last she heard he was studying two states away.

Trying to find their place in the world is no easy task, but they made a good team once. Maybe they can again.
