Bancho Sarayashiki is the oldest origin of the story that inspired Sadako/Ring novel written by Koji Suzuki in 1991. It's not a coincidence that Yusuke Urameshi (Ghost Helper, Resentment) lives in Sarayashiki (town named after a ghost story). So it woud be funny if Yusuke's mazoku form also influenced the appearance of Sadako. (Timeline check: YYH manga started in 1990).
I mean. That's a lot of hair and it purposefully gets in his face while he's out of his mind. The anime kinda cheapened this (I'm sorry, it looks bad in the anime) by putting a few strands of hair up front but in the manga, a whole bunch of hair was in his face that half was almost covered by it.
Yusuke in the manga never had white hair. He was being controlled by Raizen, maybe even possessed, but it was his own power and appearance right there. The anime just added a visual cue of white hair but Yusuke originally was supposed to have only this ominous dark long hair that reminds me of Sadako.
