I’ve been doing a lot of reading on the Magi this season, it’s quite interesting how they followed the star (astrology) and it is said that 3 is actually symbolic of all the Magi of the world. People would eventually call them wise men or kings & perhaps they were Kings, but we know they were educated in the arts, astrology, theurgy, etc. The fact remains they were magicians or wizards. They recognized the Son of one god, not changing their faith, but welcoming him home, even though they still knew their truths. They came to celebrate him and gift to him. Not really around this time of year, but near up to one year from his actual birth (Jesus was born around the Spring equinox which is closer to March 25th). He was accepted, as the stars foretold, and no matter their religion they felt this birth to be symbolic. This is the tale. We truly are all connected, at any given time there’s a story beyond the story. Be open today and share your gifts, be ok with whatever greeting you receive, so long as the intentions are good. We’re not here to force our beliefs but to celebrate one another. That is what the Magi remind me of this season. Traditions of our ancestors abound, and the spirits are still present that’s the gift. ——————————————————————————Now as at all times I can see in the mind's eye, In their stiff, painted clothes, the pale unsatisfied ones Appear and disappear in the blue depths of the sky With all their ancient faces like rain-beaten stones, And all their helms of silver hovering side by side, And all their eyes still fixed, hoping to find once more, Being by Calvary's turbulence unsatisfied, The uncontrollable mystery on the bestial floor. ——— The Magi By William Butler Yeats #ringthebellthreetimes #powerof3⚡️ https://www.instagram.com/p/B6ea0HZn_Ei/?igshid=1d24p7w3s7rgv
