Jaden had handled many things in the past; he had teamed up with his friends against some of the school bullies at Duel Academy and helped people along the way. He had even helped take down the Shadow Riders! And with a new threat coming to Duel Academy, Jaden would be sure to do his best and help take them down too.
But when Pharaoh was mad?
Oh lord have mercy.
The poor Slifer student didn’t even have enough time to even register how some new guy knew his real name (because Jaden had honestly done his best to keep 'Judai’ a secret), because Pharaoh’s hisses and growls only grew louder the moment the stranger entered the dorm.
“You’re scared of this fat thing? What the hell did you do to piss him off so badly?”
“Hey - Pharaoh is vicious when he’s mad!” Jaden tried his best to explain, which was kinda difficult at the moment when he was still huddled up on his bottom bunk. “Besides I have no idea what made him so pissed off! He’s impossible to calm down when he’s moody!”
“It’s okay, kitty kitty… Come here–~”
Chocolate brown eyes widened the moment the stranger tried to reach out for Pharaoh and coaxed him over to his side. Oh god that was just a disaster waiting to happen. He had to warn him before it was too late–!!
“Wait stop...!”
“JESUS CHRIST!!!”
Nevermind. It was too late.
Jaden gasped as Pharaoh lunged at the stranger’s face, scratching his suit up and threatening to use his claws on the poor guy’s skin. Well, this certainly wasn’t the way Jaden wanted to meet someone new.
“Pharaoh!!” The second-year Slifer student cried out, leaping out of his bunk bed and chasing after the two as they stumbled out of the dorm. “Stop it Pharaoh! Bad kitty!!” It seemed like his words weren’t enough to get Pharaoh to calm down, as the cat continued to screech and scratch at the guy’s face. So Jaden did his best to help as he ran up to the two and grabbed onto his cat, pulling at him to try and get him off. It was an endless struggle and Pharaoh was being unnecessarily stubborn on letting go, but finally with one last tug, Jaden managed to pull Pharaoh away, holding onto him tight as the cat struggled to break free so he could continue to scratch and claw at the stranger’s face.
“Pharaoh! That’s enough!!” Jaden growled softly at his cat, his body jerking slightly with each sudden movement Pharaoh tried to make. Luckily for the two of them, Pharaoh’s rage seemed to have calmed down enough where he was now just a complete grump, growling and whining at his owner. All Jaden could do was shake his head at the cat before turning to his guest with a sigh.
“Oh my god I’m so sorry. I have no idea what’s gotten into him. Are you okay? I think there’s a first aid kit around here and I think... you’re gonna need it.”
