Kiss the Villain, Moodboard Picture Analysis: Part Four (Cat: 10/90)

Like another person on here, I find the inclusion of this lovely black kitty DELIGHTFUL! There is obviously a lot of both modern and ancient symbolism around black cats; I wouldn't put it past Ms. Kent to have either Kayden or Gareth make a job about being 'bad luck.'

Since it's obvious this cat doesn't belong to Gareth (I don't think he'd risk an innocent animal around Killian), I have to wonder if it's Kayden's pet from the start or if it is something Gareth finds during the novel and forcing Kayden to house and take care of the little fluff ball for him.

The cat in this picture looks like it's seen unimaginable horrors.

One of the most strangely specific details mentioned in God of Malice was that Gareth was attacked by a dog as a kid and now avoids them. I wonder if we'll get more about that incident because, personally, I've always wondered if Killian was at least partly behind that incident.
