#Repost @theedoncesar “Big Ups to the OG , Jay Adams , who was born on this date in 1961 . I've posted this photo before and I'm sure I'll post it again when his birthday comes around . It's from the memorial skate session that went down at the Venice Beach Skatepark . Terri from @JuiceMagazine handed out these 1" tiles right after the skating was done . What you can't really make out in the photo is that my hand was covered in dry caked on blood .The session was heated , with two or three dudes dropping in on every run which was perfect . How else would you celebrate the life of the man who made all out attack seem like the only way to ride a skateboard ? I'm old , my tricks don't wanna talk to me anymore. I just haul balls and smash coping and I got a bit too hyped up and ended up sketching out and busted my head open . There's blood on my hand cause the adrenaline was pumping so hard that I didn't even notice till after I'd taken a few runs and looked down at my hand which got covered because I kept brushing my long hair aside (pony tails are for hippies & dudes at work) . Anyways , I wasn't the only one bleeding and there were a few broken bones as well . It was a perfect fucking day . RIP Jay Boy.” #JayAdams #RIPjayAdams #VeniceBeach #SkateAndDestroy #FTW (at Venice Skatepark)
