This is such a wonderful yet sad side by side picture of a very young Queen Elizabeth II at the funeral of her father King George VI and King Charles III today at her funeral knowing that their lives had forever changed with Elizabeth having automatically assumed the throne upon the death of her beloved Papa given that no one ever expected the two of them to assume the throne as well as Charles too even though he was only 3 years old when his life changed as he became first in line to the throne. The main difference is that Elizabeth was just 25 when she became Queen and had a young family while Charles was older plus had years of experience from watching her for 70 years.
