The country and world of comedy has lost one of it's brightest stars! I've spent 20 yrs watching and laughing at Rik and I still can't quite believe he's gone. RIP Snotface!

So....one of my idols has died.

As many of you have heard, Rik Mayall died last night, apparently of a stroke, due to injuries suffered in a quadbike accident in 1998, that left him in a coma for days.   What some may not know, is that both Adrian and Rik are some of the bigger influences on this character, and equally play a part in my desire to entertain.  

I will not be taking a break, but it would be remiss to point out the impact Rik had on my ambition and love of comedy, and so I will be releasing episode 2 of The Punk Cave, a little early.   S01E02 will be focused on Seasons 1 and 2 of 'The Young Ones', the first thing I ever saw Rik Mayall in, and I will review the show, in the memory of Rik himself.  

R.I.P. Rik Mayall.  

Even outside of The Young Ones, you truly were The People's Poet.
