Dear diary series. 03.25.11
I used to remember not just moments but the exact dates when they happened. Unfortunately, after some epidural and a whirlwind of emotions and hullabaloos, I am now a self-proclaimed victim of what I like to call the selective amnesia syndrome. To cut the (very) long story short, I will make entries on my latest happenings (when I say happenings, these are moments outside our home which nowadays, are very seldom). This is for me and not for anyone else's entertainment (that is, if some lunatic out there would even consider this entertaining). Otherwise, read on and ride on. :)
Went to ATC with little bro J and baby G. J was there for his "gimik" (yes he used the word gimik. I love you little brother because you are cool) with friends and for me, well, I had my agenda too. I'm meeting up with Ms. Pam for my truffles. FINALLY!
I first knew about Risa's Chocolates in Anton's blog when I was scouting for baby G's 2nd birthday stuff (I love planning events! Even when they're 4 months away. Talk about the luxury of not having anything to do. Ha!). I read from there that the origin of the name Risa came from the Spanish word “Sonrisa (smile)” and the Italian word “Risata (laughter)
Unfortunately,I wasn't able to take a decent shot before those little rascals attacked my supposedly bring-home-and-indulge-on-a-friday-night box of truffles. But I guess my first box was meant to be shared since I can't devour them all in the fear of having these babies melt and go to waste, even if I wanted to. (Of course I couldn't just drag my brother home and ruin his "gimik" just to refrigerate the truffles or else I'd be labeled as an evil step-sister!)
The damage. I'll get back at you, you little rascals! Next time, I'm going home immediately and lock myself in the room with a do not disturb sign on the door.
Aside from the truffles, I also bought the cuadrado bar in White Choco Almondacious and the Cookie Dough Truffle (this, I'm telling you, is the shiznit!). Plus plus, Ms. Pam gave me free passes to the Best Food Forward.
The best thing about Risa's Chocolates, aside from the melt sex-in-your-mouth truffles, the uber yummy Cookie Dough Truffles and the White Choco Almondacious that is ruining my already-ruined diet, is the fact that it is from the south! Now my monthly need for sweets is within reach (plus it doesn't burn a hole in my pocket). Quality and affordability at its finest. :)
