Send me a ☼ for my character’s reaction to having found yours, fast asleep and half hanging off of the bed/couch.
Jane was walking down the hallway, no tools in her arms this time. She was actually pretty free having just come from the lab where she treated Niko’s stab wound. If that kept up maybe she could become a SHIELD nurse who knew a few defense moves thanks to the fact that Niko offered to train her.
Jane couldn’t wait, given she would be nowhere near the level that all the other SHIELD agents were at or even the SHIELD superheroes like Hawkeye and well Thor of course. Maybe if she was lucky she could have one of them train her as well.
She took a deep breath and continued to hear sound of her own footsteps echoing through the hallway but she paused when she thought she heard the sound of someone snoring, she blinked and looked around.
Most of the doors in the hallway were closed but it may make sense that the snoring she heard was just coming from one of them but she couldn’t help her curiosity. She slowly continued walking, glancing back and forth to find the very source of the noise.
That was when she came across an open door to one of the room’s SHIELD provided to those staying. Now Jane knew she shouldn’t just bluntly walk into someone’s bedroom but again she couldn’t help herself.
She walked into the bedroom as quietly as possible and the sound of snoring hit her ears and she glanced over to see a figure laying halfway on the bed. His leg’s hanging off the edge and on the floor as if he were praying just before he fell asleep.
Not to mention he was wearing a strange colored uniform…Well maybe not strange but Jane knew it was tight just from staring at his backside. It was more than likely made out of spandex or some other skin tight material and there was a shield attached to his back decorated with the American flag colors and a star in the center.
Jane crept closer and gave him a poke, hearing him grunt and try to slap her hand away. She blinked before staring down at his face, it was well sculpted to say the least and his blond hair was slightly messy but her eyes drifted to a nearby mask that was right next to the man’s head and reached over to grab it.
Trying to be careful, she placed one hand on the bed to balance herself and carry the mask over the man without waking him up. She leaned back when she successfully got it and held it in her hands. It was blue like the rest of the man’s uniform and had a white “A” on the center of it.
Jane ran her thumb over it and gave into the temptation she had to try it on. It was a bit big for her and she couldn’t see well but it was surprisingly comfortable expect for the fact you had to snap it under your chin.
Jane took it off and placed it on the nearby dresser, who was this man anyway?
Given the outfit, Jane assumed that he was not an agent but maybe someone in the higher ranks of SHIELD. An Avenger maybe?
Jane didn’t really bother researching much about The Avengers because she was too focused on the fact that Thor never told her that he had visited Earth when New York was attacked.
But still the man was sleeping halfway off the bed. Well she was supposedly “Nurse Jane” or that was her nickname she began to give herself around SHIELD given the fact she had now healed and patched up two people who were injured so she might as well take care of this man as well.
She started by taking off his shoes and tried to not be bothered that they were a little stinky but what less did she expect from a superhero?
Once that was done she tried to lift the man’s legs back into the bed but was having some trouble and eventually gave up on that idea. She walked around the bed and grabbed the pillow that sat at the front of it and managed to lift the man’s head up so she could slid it underneath.
Jane than took the man’s shield off and nearly dropped it being that it was heavier than she expected it to be but making a loud sound and a hole through the floor wouldn’t leave the best of first impressions but she did manage to carry it over to the dresser and leaned it against it.
With that she pulled at the corner of the blanket and draped it over the man, leaving him mostly covered. The things Jane did…She leaned back to examine her good work and thought she might as well leave a note…Unfortunately she didn’t favor going through someone’s personal drawers to find a piece of paper.
She still wondered who this man was though and spotted a small laptop on a desk just across from the man. Hmm maybe that could tell her. She walked around the bed and opened it up, the screen came up as soon as she did and she found out the man’s name was "Steven Grant Rogers" She paused a moment, that name somehow sounded familiar but Jane couldn’t place her finger on it.
She leaned back and turned to look at Steven from over her shoulder, she had already had her fill of hacking into things and didn’t exactly feel like doing it again. Especially since she didn’t know what this man was capable of dong, given he didn’t look that dangerous sleeping peacefully and making small noises.
She turned to leave but paused just at the doorway, well maybe she could tell him while he’s sleeping? It wouldn’t hurt…She swallowed and approached the man one last time, leaning over to whisper in his ear “I hope you have a good sleep Steven” With that she shut off the lights and saw the laptop screen illuminating Steven’s sleeping figure.
She couldn’t help but smile, sometimes doing small things made her happy, she made sure the door was closed before she continued to walk down the hallway. Giving a yawn herself, maybe it was time for some shut eye.
"What?"
"Why is grocery shopping have to be so confusing?"
