risingxtides liked for a starter!
I’ve had better moments, surely.
Link was normally an upbeat person. Well, not upbeat, but he wasn't pointlessly optimistic or annoyingly pessimistic. He considered himself to be a fair realist. But this... this... it could be seen as pointless.
To put it simply, Romani's was getting a second location in Solias, seeing as how the restaurant was increasingly getting popularity. Since the owners were so eager to get business moving at that location, and with the festival being out, what better time was there to advertise it in the summer region?
Link had volunteered to go advertise, thinking it'd be just a small cycle of give out a flyer and then move onto the next potential customer.
But he was wrong. Very wrong.
He had no idea that he had to dress up in a cartoon cow costume, find some way to entertain the people walking by, all while a sign for the restaurant hung around the costume's neck. And his face was not covered. Malon would be laughing about this tomorrow, as after only two hours, Link's face was as red as a cherry. He almost wanted to say that was from both embarrassment and the fact that the cow suit was stuffy.
He was currently trying to get his audience's attention by horribly dancing, but he had no skill. And he couldn't sing either, which was a consequence of his underdeveloped vocal chords when he was a baby. The owners gave him nothing but a flute, which he barely knew how to play.
It wouldn’t hurt to try...
That was when he started to play a few notes, mainly mimicking tunes he had seen on TV. Thank god that the flute only required blowing into the mouthpiece. His tune started to flow into an upbeat song, one that some people could find a dance to. He just needed a few people to notice to attract a crowd...
