Man Cave Done!!

Just a quick post that my man cave is done, and my altar is getting close.  I've got some final things to organize, but all of the pieces are in place.  Still to get:

Blankets with decorative designs to block off sections and grant privacy.

Must design a circle for ritual purposes to paint on the ground.  awesome that I get to do that :-)

Hardest part is going to be keeping it clean, it's out in the garage and we has critters in the wood :-(

We even taped the ground, so that the other residents of the house don't put shit inside it.  That is awesomely wonderful cool :-)

I love my PSO... she's amazing!

Biggest thing is about the circle.. being an eclectic/solitary/pantheistic Pagan, should I make it a neutral circle with just symbols for elements and such, or should I draw from some of my favorite books, such as Tyson's Necronomicon books (his Tarot is my primary one.. works really well!!)?

Homecourt Advantage

I probably have mentioned this before, but I do believe that where you grow up and dedicate the majority of your life has power for you.  

When I visited home, I felt the power of the Mother surge through me like I hadn't in years.  I had energy to see everyone and didn't stop moving for two weeks, even when I was sick.  Since coming back, I've slowed back down.  There are some medical reasons for it, but the primary reason is I don't feel the power here.  Is it possible that there are different kinds of energy?  That there is power in the hum of a city and its people as much as there is power in nature?  How do pagans who live their whole life somewhere like L.A. or NY feel the power of the earth?  I grew up in nature, not out in the boonies, but far enough out.  Is it possible that I am just getting used to the different energies and need to spend time learning the hum of the city and its pulse, as I did walking through the woods and the grasslands of my home?  

I wonder these questions.  I hope my personal space helps with this.  I have to finish it this weekend or I won't have time next week to have it ready for Imbolc.  Too many things going on after work.  

To do:  Finish cleaning out the shelves, then find a ritual circle to paint on the concrete, then start orienting myself to the land here, and the pulse of the people.  Finish the shelving and go.
