rick and morty is a stupid show that pretends to be smarter than it is so you dont think too hard about the racism and sexism, and so the absolutely abhorrent morality of the main character who is idolized by the equally abhorrent fanbase gets swept to the side in the tidal wave of hype previously reserved for seth mcfarlane shows.
however.
canon autistic rick, in conjunction with arguably-canon-not-confirmed-but-heavily-coded autistic morty, made me so fucking happy. im not sleeping tonight. its been over an hour and im still not over it.
