Landsberg am Lech old town viewd across the Lechwehr. It is a medievel town rebuilt in 1315 after a fire destroyed the town, some of the old city wall and buildings still remain. Adolf Hitler wrote Mein Kampf while incarcerated in the city cells. Speaking of cells, Erwin Neher who was born in the town, won the Nobel Prize in Physiology / Medicine for "discoveries concerning the function of single ion channels in cells" .
