Ganges for World Rivers Day this year!

I make comics about personification of rivers around the world. This is the first post of my comic on Tumblr. I am new to this platform, please comment any advice if you have experience on posting comics here!

The Ganges river is often depicted as a goddess (Ganga) in India. She is often shown riding a Gharial ( a species of crocodile in Ganges and nearby rivers), which I think is pretty cool

Amur and his largest tributary Songhua

Songhua is famous for the ice sculpture festival on its bank every winter, so I drew her making the sculpture of her family (the Amur basin)!

🎣 That Time We Hooked Redfish, a Shark & a Stingray on Wilmington River!

Ever cast a line and thought: “Wait, did I just catch a shark?” That was our day on the Wilmington River—sun blazing, temperatures rising, lines flying, and laughs echoing off the water. We limited out on redfish, reeled in a shark, and even spotted a stingray flap beside the boat.

Our captain David’s new Calcutta catamaran glided like a hammock. When reds bit? Tug-of-war excitement. When the stingray surfaced? Collective “Whoa.” Then came the bonnethead shark—half adrenaline, half "is this real?"

This is more than a fishing trip—it's nature’s improv show. Embrace the unpredictability.

Dipper and Baby

Arrived this morning to wait for the wildlife to come and have their image taken, I didn’t have to wait long when the adult Dipper came up the river on my side. The juvenile following it copying what mum was doing. The video I took in 4K shows the Adult Dipper

Day 8 Countryside Life

River Wenning is low the banks are exposed the water only covers a third of the width. Dipper fly past and the flash of blue is so pleasing Two lovers in their prime sit on the bank cover by overhanging willow, wild garlic and sage. The sit arms round each other listening to the water with not a care in the world.
