Manatee snorkel adverture in Kings Bay, Florida! 🐳🐄 = emoji version of Sea Cow 😂 King's Bay is the only place in the US where you can legally swim with manatees. While manatees are endangered - there are estimates of 6k-7k in North American waters - there are plenty of rules and regulations put in place in order for us to do so responsibly including getting a run down by our US Coast Guard certified captains, watching informational videos beforehand, and even having our guides and manatee safety volunteers with us in the water during the whole experience. These manatees flock to Kings Bay in the winter due to the water being a constant 72 degrees year round due to the natural and crystal clear springs and abundant food sources. While many of the manatees were out in the Gulf grazing today due to warmer waters, we were able to see close to a dozen either in or out of the water.
