018. Your character wakes up to find that war has been declared. What do they do?

well, it depends on the stakes. are we talking a regular, earth-bound politically driven war, or some extra-terrestrial, future-of-the-earth-depends-on-the-outcome-of-this war?

if it’s the first, she’d certainly have a stance one way or another, and she’d try to keep herself educated on the background and effects of it, but ultimately? she wouldn’t do much. she’d just continue on with her daily life, because while war is certainly not something pleasant, it happens and there isn’t much she can practically do about it

if it’s the second, however... well, that’s an entirely different story now, isn’t it?

she’d fall into line, and do whatever the director tells her to do. ... unless she disagrees. if she disagrees and people refuse to listen to her, then, well, she’d just have to do something about that, wouldn’t she? she’d grab fitz and anyone else who would listen to her and would make her own stand to fight.

011. How would your character court the person of their dreams

short answer: she wouldn’t.

long answer:

simmons is absolutely atrocious at dealing with her own emotions. before the whole ‘courting’ thing even begins there’s a whole series of hurdles that she’d have to tackle- and she’d trip over every single one of them.

now, simmons isn’t always terrible at relationships. in sciops, she had quite a few relationships that progressed pretty well. ( she also wasn’t at fault with her relationships in the academy being less-than-stellar, but that’s a whole other thing that will not be touched upon here ) the thing is, simmons is actually pretty good at having relationships ... when they don’t really matter to her.

when they do matter to her is where the problems come in. the more seriously she likes someone, the more difficult she’ll find it to get together with them. it’s even more complex when the person she likes is already a friend of hers- because then she has to consider the very real possibility of alienating them forever if something should go wrong.

but even that is assuming that she’d admit to herself that she’s feeling what she’s feeling. the person of her dreams could be staring her in the eyes, but there would be at least a 90% chance that simmons would not recognise them.

emotions are confusing and complicated. how is she supposed to know if someone is the person of her dreams? what if they’re just a very good friend? how does someone know if they’re in love? why would she ever think of someone like that? these would be the sorts of questions flying around her mind, but the odds are she wouldn’t even be consciously asking these things. her denial is just too deep.

in the end, simmons would never make the first step. the only way she would ever start courting the person of her dreams is if she got very, very drunk. and, well, you know, her courting would be unlikely to be successful under those circumstances.

this  surely  isn ‘ t  as  easy  to  be  answered  as  expected  first .  if  amelia  really  falls  for  someone ,  if  she  is  ready  to  trust  them  and  show  them  her  true  self  she  will  put  a  lot  of  effort  in  this  relationship .  being  born  as  a  mutant  always  made  it  quite  hard  for  her  to  reveal  powers  and  for  example  put  off  her  gloves  when  being  with  other  people .  at  first  reluctant ,  she  is  a  very  compassionate  lover  who  develops  STRONG  FEELINGS  for  her  partner  and  gets  very  protective  over  them .  such  as  with  friends ,  she  would  DO  EVERYTHING  to  keep  them  safe ,  even  if  that  means  she  would  have  to  risk  her  own  life  /  her  own  safety .  never  being  a  very  self  centered  person ,  she  mostly  puts  the  wellbeing  of  others  above  her  own ,  yet  there  are  SOME  LINES  she  would  not  cross .  amelia  has  a  strong  moral  codex ,  which  she  would  not  ignore   just  because  of  her  own  feelings  towards  another  individual .  IDEALS  AND  BELIEFS  will  never  be  pushed  aside  as  seen  during  the  events  of  civil  war .  despite  not  signing  the  accords  meant  turning  her  back  on  friends ,  on  family  and  her  own  country  she  chose  that  path  because  it  was  what  she  deemed  to  be  the  only  right  thing  to  do .  with  this  exception ,  amelia  would  probably  do  anything  to  protect  whom  she  loves , no  matter  if  its  in  battle  or  concerning  personal  belongings .
