starter for @rkhojung
aside from hyejin, junmyeon’s gaming circle and real life circle of friends never really overlapped. anyone he gamed with online that he had met online, stayed online. he never really video streamed either, he mostly just used his mic if he ever streamed on twitch or played with his crew of friends, so he had no idea what his gamer friends looked like, and they had no idea what he looked like. he wasn’t really open about his gaming on his other social media sites, so being an ulzzang didn’t help with recognition in that sphere of his life. it was completely separate, and he liked it that way.
running into them was almost impossible too, since he only had a voice to go off of, and seoul was too big to find any of them in easily. he didn’t even have their real names to go off of, he had aliases that were obscure, and he was certain no one went by them. his own alias was june001, and his friends all called him june. it was sort of close to his birth name, but introducing himself as junmyeon wouldn’t spark any recognition, at least he didn’t think so.
he was in a cafe, as usual, on his laptop, doing his studying for the day. wendy was off at training and he didn’t know what minho or hyejin was up to, so it was just him, and just him meant cafe time. the white noise of murmured conversations made for easy listening as he worked away, until a voice he recognized started talking up at the counter. was that... no, it couldn’t be. he looked up, at the source of the voice, squinting hard at him, trying to determine if that was the face that could match the voice of one of his gaming buddies. there was no way... he had to test it though. he cleared his throat, ready to embarrass the crap out of himself by speaking out, to himself, in the middle of a public space, but he just had to know. “MM, YUP. can’t wait to play fortnite tonight!”
