Of course she had been paired with Remus for her first patrol. Apparently there was some renewed regime to create unity and ensure fairness in the point system that meant prefects often patrolled with others from a different year, and house. But it had been just her luck that her instruction would be from the least tolerable of them all.
So she had arrived late, as was her wont these days: a subtle reminder that she was more important, and would not wait for anyone.
“I suppose we had better get started then.”
