oh my god i just shot up in bed in a cold sweat thinking about the caesurian empire series again
remember how jacky had an identical copy of ro’s shield during that final fight? the shield that Lark wore? The one that meant everything to Ro? Jacky was a mirror of everything Ro once stood for.
because time and time again the need for revenge blinded Ro’s judgement. He kills his friend in his desperate ambition, crumbling his foundations. Was he really doing this just to avenge his friends? To live in peace? From the moment he killed Jacky, the answer has been a concrete no.
Because Ro didn’t have to don the Caesurian empire’s trims to become everything he hated, everything he swore never to be. His morality was already corrupted when he killed Jacky, the mirror of who he was supposed to be. In a sense, he killed his own morality in pursuit of revenge. In that moment, Ro basically killed himself.
He was doomed from the moment he banned Jacky.
i think this was a good post i made while watching the caesuria series
