Randy "Roaring Bear" Dippary Randall Dennis Dippary, 72, of Marietta, went into the arms of his Creator on Wednesday, October 10, 2018. He just celebrated 38 years of marriage to the love of his life, Sandra Jean Leonard, on September 27th. Randy was retired from the United States Postal Service, Harrisburg Pike Branch. Earlier in life, he was a butcher for the former Sanitary Markets on South Queen Street in Downtown Lancaster. Born August 12, 1946, in Newport News, VA, he was the son of the late Paul Allison and Lillie (Shoemaker) Dippary. Randy had attended the Covenant United Methodist Church, Lancaster. A Disabled Veteran, he proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from April 1966-April 1968. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He was adopted into the Turtle clan of the Lenape tribe, earning the name "Roaring Bear". He is survived by his son, Dennis W. Dippary, of Chicago, IL, and siblings: Etta Mae Amos, Newport News, VA;  Edith Brissey, Albuquerque,  NM; James Dippary, San Antonio, TX; Paulette Lewis, Newport News, VA; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Geneva Shannon, Elmer Moore, Imogene Bishop, and Charles Moore. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Randy's Celebration of Life Service at the Covenant United Methodist Church, 110 North Mulberry Street, Lancaster, PA 17603 NEXT SATURDAY MORNING, OCTOBER 20, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. The family will receive guests between 10:30-11:30 a.m.  All are welcome to attend a Committal Service with Military Honors in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA 17003 on (DATE & TIME TO BE ANNOUNCED).  Kindly omit flowers.
