anthonygreen666 Re recording miracle sun with @.goodoldkeith for “so long, Avalon” was the best kind of challenge because we played it so many different ways live throughout the years and picking which kind of treatment and Rhythm and textures we wanted to include was a joyquest . Timmy A and @.robdevious ornamented every moment of this perfectly. I’m not sure a song is ever finished but rather arrested in its transformation from spirit to something you can skip or start over. Live music changes and grows and records just stay the same forever. I supposed that’s the comfort of it. You never have to wonder what might happen next. Re recording these songs wasn’t because I didn’t love the originals and what they represent but because I know it could feel so much better, to me. Time has shown me that. If I’m going to put music in the world in hopes that it will be enjoyed then I want to present the finest most true sentiment and the only way I have to measure that is by how it makes me feel to play and sing it. So that’s what we did. Guided by our goosepimples. Keith and the band were so focused on feeling and mood, painting each track with sweeping dense emotions and stuff and I couldn’t feel more connected. Can’t wait to share more. So long.❤️🔥🤘🦦🌅☀️🌞
