Sunova Kiteboards Team Rider: Rob Kidnie
Rob Kidnie set himself a unique challenge: to standup paddle the length of the Mekong River from Cambodia through Vietnam, to the South China Sea - and in the process, raise awareness of the problems of waterway, beach and ocean pollution in South-East Asia. Rob Kidnie just completed the 230km from Chau Doc to the East Sea and it's now the time for him to really spread awareness about the global issue of plastic pollution. Here is an extract of Rob's last article: "I don't think I have a created awareness about the issues of plastic pollution with all of people I have come across, but for sure I have in more than a few. So with that in-mind and the positive feedback I received since completion of the Paddle down the Mekong River, I feel it has been a success in creating at least a bit more awareness to the global problem of plastic pollution." I invite you to have a look at the Rob Kidnie blog at plasticawareness.weebly.com/photo-archive.html and increase your own awareness!
