ASC Open Studios, SE1 0LN
Goro takes part of the open studio event of the Artists Studio Company (ASC) on 27th and 28th September.
Number of the recent/previous paintings, drawings and prints will be shown and available to buy in his studio, including 'Rob(s)' series (2013). The studio is at 195-205 Union Street SE1 0LN and opens about 18:00 - 20:00 (Fri) , 12:00 - 18:00 (Sat).

Art Auction for Emily Baldwin at Mary Ward House WC1H 9SN
Goro contributes the auction being held at May Word House as one of the Green Horse Artists Group in London. The auction, operated by the auctioneer, James Braxton from BBC Bargain Hunt, takes place for the Orinpian, Emly Baldwin who needs her next companion horse to challenge the Rio games in 2016. Goro donates his works of a print ('Uppon' 2009) and a original painting of 'Rob(s) No. 7' (2013) for the auction.

Rob(s)
'Rob(s)' is a new portrait project based on 'Rob' (2011) which consists of about 30 pieces of one person's portrait made by different treatments in random colour palette. The new series encourages the broadening and deepening of the initial concept of 'Rob' that is to represent the ways in which we identify and remember the face. 'Rob(s)' is composed of two pieces alongside each other. Those are chosen from the first series and divided into strips to replace one with the counterpart of the companion. Although the original pieces certainly remain the model's characteristics as a portrait by the similarity with the stencil marks of the major facial features, each pair of 'Rob(s)', for the new execution, makes more variable visual effect to marge and fuse those different impressions but also to keep an uncertainty of our perceptions of the face.
It was introduced in The Other Art Fair May 2013.
