“I never found love in the city.” Ellis began to explain. The two hadn’t spoken in years. Time was a funny thing really; at this point in his life he never thought he’d still be high off his ass, robbing local joints for quick cash, and playing shitty venues just to make his music feel alive. But speaking to an old friend, they seemed to have their shit so together. In a way, Ellis admired that. Sure he loved his life, the adventure and thrill of it all, but there were parts of him that wanted to grow up, that wanted to change.
