Dream team🕷
I love him your honor, he’s so silly
The only small issue I've had with the recent Spider-Woman trend is that, since most people don't read the comics, they make Petra sound too sheltered/insecure/withdrawn. Where's her snark? Her bite? Her charming asshole-ery??
They also make JJ sound too..."good" for lack of a better word. Jonah is a dick with a heart of silver, maybe gold if you spitshine it. Even if he IS fully supportive, he's still an ass.
A good example of how to voice their + Robbie's dynamic:
Made by my GOAT Pizzamert990, go support his original post and his art in general! He's my favorite Spidey fanartist
Spider Noir was fun and Nick Cage's poses reminded me of this iconic pose from Yotsuba <3
I'm obsessed with the idea that as they get to know each other better, Z team notices just how alike Robert and Chase are. The way they act and speak, etc., same cadence and type of insults. Eventually it comes out that the reason they're so alike is because Chase was pretty much the only person bar his father that Robert spent any real amount of time with as a child. Genuinely the only person who took the time to speak with him as a person and get to know him.
Found this extra comic in my copy of Dispatch, any ideas on what the story is?
Losing my mind over Spider-Noir
While the Z-Team is hanging out, Flambae decides to be gracious and tell Robert his actual name, claiming that Chad is his American name. Before he can explain what that is, Robert nonchalantly mentions that his mom had an American name
The entire function freezes because Robert lore is rare, and information about his mother? Nonexistent. Half of them just assumed he was a clone grown in a lab
With their awkward attempts at slyly fishing for information, Robert eventually caves and gives them a little bit more about his mother. She was Korean, which is why she had an American name. She was very kind, very soft-hearted. This is likely why she kissed his head one night and was never seen again. She couldn’t handle the strain of worrying about Robbie all the time, and she couldn’t bear to watch her son follow in his footsteps. She cut them out of her life, and Robert has nothing but respect for her decision. He loves her too much to dare ask her to return to slowly killing herself from worry and guilt and preemptive grief
The Z-Team don’t really ask about his mom again
