robbinggraves:
there’s a pause ; an inhale of breath. “–’nika.” really, what can tegan do. “oh my god. i don’t-i’m not sure what to say.” long fingers reach out to grip the other’s hand, thumb stroking over her skin. it’s silent, but it lets her know they’re trying.
She sniffles before looking up at them with sad, sad blue eyes. “You could take me for a walk and we could get ice cream?” There’s also the opportunity to hold Tegan’s hand while walking that intrigues Annika, but keeping that to herself for now seems wise.
#[i love them so much already tbh]
*sQUEAKS* !!! omigosh !! *showers w/ kisses* you’re so swweeet
robbinggraves:
“–by ‘she,’ you mean ‘you,’ right. in any case, i know i’ve got a great ass & great hair.”
“Wait ..... how did you get ME out of any of this? ”
robbinggraves:
so, what do you do when your friend find you in an alleyway, covered in a stranger’s blood?
( you lie, of course. there’s no reason to tell her the truth. ‘course, her husband is just as dangerous as you are. she should be okay with that, but you don’t want to shatter her PRISTINE IMAGE she’s given you. lying is the best way to help that. )
“he was going to hurt me, annika–take advantage of me. he…he attacked me.” a shake of your head. “i–i must have fought back. god, everything was a blur. i–i wasn’t sure he was dead until you–.” until you ruined it.
( instead of finishing your sentence, you break into hysterics. )
good, good. portray yourself as the innocent victim. turn your baby blues toward her, crimson hands outstretched. you’re good at that. no matter how many times you do this, it never sounds staged. what she doesn’t know won’t hurt her.
For awhile, all Annika had been able to do was stand and stare, watching in silence as her friend brutally ATTACKED the man, watching as the man fell to the ground and Tegan was left coated in his blood. No matter how many dead bodies she’d seen, it never got any easier.
Her mouth opened and closed as she searched for something to say, shaking her head as a silent message that they didn’t need to explain anything to her. Soon, she found herself standing directly in front of them, wrapping her arms tightly around their frame.
“Hey, it’s...it’s okay. It’s going to be okay. I’ll call Trent, he can get rid of the body while you come with me. I’ll get you cleaned up.” Without thinking, a kiss was pressed to Tegan’s cheek, a thumb coming up to brush a fleck of blood away from their cheekbone.
robbinggraves liked this post for a starter.
She would think that she would get used to lawyers after everything they’ve gone through. After the whole ‘Alana kills a guy and is dropped out of the FBI quicker than you’d drop a hot potato” and then the subsequent “Dolarhyde is after my wife and, by extension, my child and myself and now we are definitely never doing any consulting for the FBI ever again’ - not to mention the months of fighting the government to let Haruko stay longer (a fight they lost - and at the time she was devastated, but she knows now that it was completely for the best)----
But she’s not. Not really.
Which is why she’s pulling out a cigarette and holding the box out to the person next to her.
“Would you like a smoke?”
