I am Power / 30 min Handpan Mindful Music / Enhance and Enrich Your Life...
So curious that I have a different taste of light now than a couple of days ago.
262
Having taken 10,000 shots with my M262 (with a screen you know), let me briefly talk about the camera.
Well, I must say I’m very much satisfied with this little machine. Compared to most of digital cameras out there (including M240), there’s not much the camera does for you automatically, but that’s what I love about it. I can use it almost like my analogue M’s. It’s not an easy tool but a simple tool, which means it has infinite potential and it’s up to the photographer to make use of it.
The colors are good- especially compared to the M9. They are natural and I don’t have to adjust any particular colors such as red, which I have to cool down when using the M9. For some reason, I have hard time capturing colors of sunsets with the M9 but with the 262 there is no problem at all.
The resolution is excellent and the battery lasts long.
The only thing I’m not satisfied with is its start up time. After the sleep, it takes a few seconds to start up again especially when you are using a large storage card. I often miss a chance to shoot because of this.
The 1st generation Elmarit 28mm stays on my 262 much longer than other lenses. It’s a gorgeous combination. After testing different apertures for different situations, I now set the aperture to f/2.8 very often because it gives three-dimensional feel to the image. I wasn’t so sure about this when I was using the lens on analogue M’s but, with digital, it didn’t take much time to discover it, which I think is an advantage of digital.
Colors are to be shared.
It’s the night before the super moon.
