Robin & Batman (2022) / ⭐⭐⭐⭐
As short as it is, this story reaches as many emotional layers as the previous adventures of Batman and Robin... oops, Robin and Batman. But, beyond the standout watercolor work, it sets a much darker tone, one that closely resembles Dark Victory, while exploring the same questions, and how Batman's more detached behavior directly shapes Dick Grayson's reactions in his darkest place. Unfortunately, it's a very short story, but one that contains moments as tender as those of a father who is always willing to try not to fail his son.
