2. ok tbh when it comes to that type of face mapping cgi now i just rate it on a scale of “LOOK CARRIE FISHER TIME TRAVELED” to “Is That Young RDJ? I Can’t Pay Attention To This Scene Because This Is Weirding Me Out.”
i was mostly in the theater like “whoooooa fuck how much of this is cgi and how much is from the actor double?” there were a few of angles of tarkin that didn’t look spot on but i didn’t mind it. i know cushing’s family gave their blessing so it didn’t make me feel too uncomfortable abt ‘bringing the actor back to life.’ it was done tastefully and added a lot to the movie as a whole
