it's natural to grieve things that are important to you, and the loss of important media can be really difficult. when something becomes such a large part of your life it's really hard to remove it entirely right away.
but I also think that victims' feelings should always come first. this simply isn't about you, or me, it's about someone who experienced one of the worst things that can be done to another person, not some roblox game. plain and simple.
now just isn't the time to be plugging your new AU. making characters into ocs is fine but I also think it's best done in private, so you're not advertising the source material by posting about it. ultimately your goal should still be to move on completely even if you can't right away. and if you absolutely must post it, at least give it a few weeks! it's the (slightly more) respectful thing to do, and respect for the victims should be your priority. but the most respectful thing to do is to just stop posting about it entirely!
if you claim to not support the people behind the source material but your actions are indistinguishable from someone who does, you're doing something wrong.
I'll be reblogging some tips for working through your special interest being made by bad people, they're talking about harry potter specifically but a lot of it can apply to any media and I think the information is useful!
