Sonic and Tails in my Superhero AU.

Sonic AKA Nikki was born with the ability to reach supersonic speeds and have reflexes to match, yet growing up. He was a nervous and cowardly kid, he was aware of superheroes and as muhc as he admired them, he just didn’t see himself being able to do it. But as he grew older, he started to be,Evie more he should at least try to use these powers. His parents always told him never to use them, else he’ll be taken to the facility and locked up. So in an attempt to try and be a hero, the legendary ‘Sonic’ was born. At first he acted as everything he wasn’t, cocky, brave, fearless. All to try and trick himself into thinking he could do this hero thing, and make sure no would suspect shy Nikki to be a super. Overtime, however, he felt his identity as Sonic felt more real than he felt as Nikki. Now he truely did feel confident and brave, no longer being afraid to stand up for what he believes in. Now it feels like Nikki is the alter ego, while he himself is Sonic. He sometimes wishes he could remain Sonic permanently, but he knows he can’t.

Miles ‘Tails’ Prower is an emancipated tween with an unbelievable intellect, as well as a physical mutation of his two tails (that he disguises as one large tail). In order to support himself, as no one else did, he began a business all on his own. Of course not revealing that the head of the small business was a child. The business grew larger and larger, and soon he became the head of an entire enterprise of technology, Tailing Tech. Most of the public have seen the young fox as the ‘young apprentice and personal assistant’ of the head of the company… which is really a robot that has been disguised and controlled by Tails. As much as he’d rather run the company authentically, he knows no one would take him seriously. In his off-time, he became inspired by the heroes he’d see and began experimenting with revolutionary technology to make a state of the art mech suit. When it was finally finished, his side work of heroism began and the mech hero would be known as Twin Turbine. So far no one is aware that the identity of Twin Turbine nor the founder of Tailing Tech is truely a young genius teen. Those who are close to Tails are worried that while an ambitious mega-genius, he holds a lot of responsibility and stress. He’s totally fine though, totally not gonna snap kf anything falls apart on him… he did this to himself. He’s too ambitious for his own good.
