my dad works at a plant and his job is literally "chemical mixer" he scoops chemicals in powder form into a machine all day long and the new huge corporation that bought out the plant from its old company have decided he no longer needs what was essentially a full hazmat suit with a battery pack that pumped oxygen inside the helmet for the job, but that an N95 mask is enough to protect him from chemical particles all day long. and they told him because his COPD makes it hard to breathe through the N95 that his other option is a face shield with no mask underneath. my dad has enough self respect that hes going to transfer to a different job within the same plant so hes no longer working with chemicals, but i am 100% willing to bet every other chemical mixer in there is gonna have cancer in like 10 fucking years
i love how those most annoying fandom polls are just showing every time that the most popular fandoms on tumblr were the most annoying like yeah. anytime something gets big it gets annoying

im making my boyfriend watch steven universe and he literally asked what our gemsonas would be and i got to reveal that i already made them years ago (his was someone else but the same gem fits him and us so much that i have to re-use it) and i just need to revamp the designs to represent us currently and im so excited. im moonstone and hes obsidian and our fusion is snowflake obsidian
