Ikki was sure that he'd lived through enough bullshit that nothing could blow his mind anymore. (He was born in Castle Oblivion after all, a place designed to be a mind-bending shit-show.)
The Fibonacci Ward proved him wrong.
In his quest to pick up as many job applications as he could in as short a time as possible, Ikki had taken a risk and used a Corridor of Darkness to get to the Fibonacci Ward. He almost entirely ate shit for this mistake--the Corridor dropped him on the edge of a brutally deep canyon, from the center of which skyscrapers rose.
After regaining his balance--and cursing up a blue streak, not caring who was around to hear--Ikki took a moment to just look. His gaze followed the twisting highways leading down into the canyon and out again, to the next ward over. He also took in the surface area of the Ward, and noted the stark difference in technology level--cyberpunk to steampunk. Regardless, there was plenty to look at.
That's why he didn't notice Melusine, at first--but when he did, every other thought flew out of his head.
Silver hair. Silver hair.
"You've got silver hair too," he blurted. It took a split second for Ikki to realize what a dweeb he sounded like, but he was always one to double down--so he did. "Where'd you get it from? Er--how'd you get it, that is? What kind of genetic fuckery--I could never figure out how my--" Original? The guy I was cloned off of? No, that wouldn't do. "--my older brother and I got it. No one else where he's from has silver fucking hair, not naturally anyway. Most humans don't."
